The latest plugin I had developed for the Wordpress CMS is named “Cleanup Wordpress“. And  … I write it becouse I needed a tool to delete spam comments, pages and posts revisions. All this unused data take more then all wordpress and database needed for this website.

In your member pages from your GDI account you will not find any button to cancel your account (becouse they say “security reasons”)

Only way to cancel your account is to call GDI (you will find the phone number on FAQ page) and ask them to cancel your account (some girl there will try to convince you to stay a month more, tell her that you cancel it from some personal reasons and dont want to discuss this on phone with strangers)

There is another way to cancel it. Send an email to GDI support (on support page you have a form for sending email to them). In the email tell them that you dont have posibility to call them (tell a reason) but you want to cancel your account. They will send you an email where will ask you for Security Question 1 and Security Question 2, if you send a replay to that email with correct answers in 1 to 2 days your account will be canceled.

Windows 95/98/Me/2000/2003/XP/Vista/Win7

1. Click on Start and then Run
2. 
3. In the Run type “cmd”
4. In the new screen type “ipconfig /all”
5. You will find for every ethernet card all info like IP, Physical Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway .

In Linux all versions

1. Open Terminal Window
2. Type “ifconfig”

IE (Internet Explorer) like any other browser use some space from your hard drive for cache. This will speed loading pages that have been opened before. If you have a big hard drive this cache will grow very big with small files. Small files slow down your computer when you search something or when a antivirus start scan your computer.

Becouse of this it is recomanded that form time to timp to delete this cache manualy. This can be done like this.

1. Click on Start and then Control Panel
2. Now look for the Network and Internet Connections or just Internet Options and click it.
3. If you found and clicked on  Internet Options you will see a window like bellow:

5. If you found Network and Internet Connections in the previus step click on Internet Options icon now.
6. On Internet Properties window click on Delete Files button and a dialog box will open like in the picture below.
7. 
8. Check “Delete all offline content” and click OK button

If you need to change Serial Number (Product Key) for Windows XP for various reasons (maybe you find that your key is pirated and want to enter a new ok one) follow next steps:

1. Click on Start and then Run.
2. In the text box in the Run window, type regedit and click OK. This will open the Registry Editor program.
3. Locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder under My Computer and click on the (+) sign next the folder name to expand the folder.
4. Continue to expand folders until you reach the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents registry key.
5. Click on the WPAEvents folder.
6. In the results that appear in the window on the right, locate OOBETimer.
7. Right-click on the OOBETimer entry and choose Modify from the resulting menu.
8. Change at least one digit in the Value data text box and click OK. This will deactivate Windows XP.
9. Click on Start and then Run.
10. In the text box in the Run window, type the following command and click OK.%systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a
11. When the Windows Product Activation window appears, choose Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows and then click Next.
12. Click Change Product Key.
13. Type your new, valid Windows XP product key in the New key text boxes and then click Update.
14. If you’re taken back to the previous screen and prompted, choose Remind me later.
15. Restart your PC.

This problem happend in most cases becouse of a invalid registry entry (usualy after a mallware/trojan). So there is 2 steps to rezolve it:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\netshell.dll, and then click OK.
3. In the RegSvr32 dialog box, click OK.

Now try to open properties of a network connection. If is open ok you are finished, if not go to next step:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\ole32.dll, and then click OK.
3. In the RegSvr32 dialog box, click OK.
4. Restart the computer.

Windows 7 is free until March 2010. Sound great?

Microsoft want his new OS to be the best and after free BETA version download ended with great results a Release Candidate version of Windows 7 is availble to download until March 2010. After that a computer with Win7 RC will restart after 2 hours of activity.

What you need to know?

• there is not limit of the number of product keys
• is not recomended to be installed on a computer for real work becouse Win7 RC is not the final version and can have hidden bugs.

Now Win7 RC is free but there is a catch, you need to test your copy for them.

How do you test the software? You put it on your PC, and then do what you’d normally do. Your PC will automatically and anonymously send our engineers the information they need to verify the fixes and changes they made based on the Windows 7 Beta tests.

So if you do not like to be spyed dont install Win7 RC. Of course they get just tehnical data, errors and stuff not web pages you access, porn movies you watch and other stuff.

For try Win7 you need to have al least this configuration:

• Internet access (to download Windows 7 RC and get updates)

• A PC with these system requirements:

  • 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
